Due to production being moved to our always expanding flagship mill in St. Ansgar, Iowa, Grain Millers INC is seeking additional employees in our blending department. This position will be on either second or third shift. We are focused on doing good and providing good ingredients to the world. We are a leading manufacturer and merchandiser of whole grain ingredients utilized in food products served around the world. While you may not know us directly, you almost certainly know our products. We have supplied food ingredients to many of the world's largest food companies for over 37 years. Who We Are Looking For:
The Blend Operator will work with team members throughout the facility in making blends for some of the largest names in the food and restaurant industry. This person, along with their assistant will be in charge of following blend recipes, gathering raw materials and putting them in the correct bins, and making precise machine adjustments using our PLC controlled blending and packaging systems to make blends ranging from 5 to 12 ingredients. Blends will be packaged using our automated packaging system and palletized by a robot before being warehouse by the blend employees. This position requires a sharp eye for quality as you will be performing quality assurance checks across runs, and strong time management skills to ensure an efficient workday. You will also be tasked with keeping a clean and sanitary work environment, helping us live up to our reputation as one of the cleanest food manufacturing facilities in North America.
