Job Title: Grand Canyon Theological Seminary–Student Worker (FWS)
Purpose within the Organization:

Grand Canyon Theological Seminary—located in Building 79—is seeking a motivated, hard-working, and dedicated individual to provide assistance for office needs within the Seminary in Phoenix, AZ. You will focus on building relationships with Seminary faculty and staff, local pastors and ministry leaders, students, and alumni. You will also be provided with the opportunity to engage with professors in the College of Theology on a daily basis. This position will allow you to develop your entrepreneurial talent and administrative skills in a real-world setting.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Answering and making phone calls
Social Media Content Creation
Maintain College Bulletin Board and Newsletter
Scheduling meetings for faculty and administration
Interacting with other departments such as AV, IT, and the Copy Center to accomplish tasks
Provide directions to visitors and students
Maintain Office/Kitchen Supplies
Oversee schedule for Conference Rooms
Ensures Chapel, conference rooms, workstation area and kitchen are kept neat and clean
Other tasks as requested by faculty and staff of the College

Qualifications:
Must have friendly and efficient disposition
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Knowledge of MS Publisher a plus
Friendly phone skills
Ability to be able to focus on task, able to multitask, and prioritize tasks
Self-motivated
Comfortable interacting with Pastor’s, students majoring in Christian Studies programs, and others while embracing the Christian worldview
College of Theology or College of Fine Arts student preferred
As a student worker in the College of Theology, you are a representative of the values and lifestyle that our college upholds. All faculty, staff, and students in our college sign the university’s Doctrinal and Ethical Positions Statements and the College Covenant as a way of indicating that they personally affirm and abide by the values and lifestyle of the college. Thus, affirmation of these standards is also required for a student worker role within the College of Theology.

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student-first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
