Job Summary
Workforce Management
• Work with various leaders to determine appropriate staffing levels
• Coach and mentor team to effectively lead associates with a positive
approach to safety, efficiency and care
• Ensure workforce development, including training, performance reviews,
and ongoing performance feedback, is a priority
Hauling Management
• Ensure route sizes remain efficient, yet manageable, and all safety
standards are maintained for collection and truck operation
• Ensure routes are well maintained to help support new swing drivers and
others filling in for dedicated route drivers, with support from driver
supervisors
• Make truck operation and care a priority including active participation by
supervisors in ongoing driver communication especially with pre and post
trip quality and other ongoing operation campaigns
Fleet Management
• Ensure all DOT and Granger standards are being met for all equipment
leaving Granger property
• Work closely with the director of fleet management to ensure equipment
maintenance SOPs are being followed and with accounting and
purchasing to ensure inventory and parts management SOPs are being
followed
Financial Management
• Work closely with the director of operations to understand product line
income statements, providing support to financial questions as needed
• Regularly review financial statements to stay informed and work with the
director of operations as needed to optimize month-end outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Minimum 5 years experience in supervisory role in construction, logistics or maintenance discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in management or business related field preferred
- Strong computer, people and collaboration skills
- Project management experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical requirements of position and pass a physical and drug screen (pre-hire and random), including marijuana
