We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals, ensuring smooth patient care and efficient clinic operations. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to assist in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Walk In Clinics offer 12 hour shifts with rotation of weekends and holidays; facilities are open 7 days per week. Licensed Practical Nurses are welcome to apply.
Job Duties:
- Telephones
- Tasking
- Triage
- Pre-certifications
- Medication Refills
- Assistance with scheduling on occasion
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining and documenting patient vitals and histories.
- Preparing patients for exams.
- Assisting physician (provider) with exams and minor procedures
- Injections
- Stocking, monitoring and cleaning exam rooms/work area and patient waiting areas.
- As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings.
- Various other duties as assigned/needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
