Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse - Level III | Cardiac Surgery Specialist
Join our prestigious surgical team as a CVOR Registered Nurse, where you'll play a vital role in life-saving cardiac procedures. We're seeking an experienced RN who combines clinical excellence with leadership capabilities to provide exceptional patient care in our state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating rooms.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead complex cardiac surgical procedures as primary circulator or scrub nurse
- Maintain strict sterile technique and manage surgical equipment
- Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient status throughout perioperative phases
- Manage surgical counts and specimen handling
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee work
- Cross-train in non-cardiac specialties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Current RN license in Virginia (multi-state or single-state)
- Minimum 3 years (5,616 hours) of RN experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
- Cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred
- Advanced cardiac life support certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs
