Role & Responsibilities:

As the Memory Care Manager, you are the heart of our memory care neighborhood, ensuring that every day is filled with warmth, connection, and joy. Your key responsibilities include:

Resident Engagement & Program Development:

* Develop and implement innovative, person-centered programs that enrich the lives of residents.

* Assess residents' individual interests, needs, and abilities to tailor engaging activities.

* Organize a variety of daily recreational and therapeutic activities, including music, art, storytelling, and sensory experiences.

* Foster an atmosphere that promotes meaningful interactions and life skills.

* Maintain a profile for each resident to personalize their experience.

Family & Community Support:

* Serve as a compassionate resource for families navigating their loved ones' journey with memory loss.

* Co-facilitate a monthly Alzheimer's/Dementia Support Group, providing guidance, encouragement, and education.

* Attend and co-facilitate resident care conferences, ensuring families are informed and supported.

* Plan family events, creating opportunities for connection and celebration.

Team Leadership & Training

* Inspire and mentor the Memory Care team, ensuring excellence in resident care and engagement.

* Train staff in best practices for dementia care, communication techniques, and activity programming.

* Foster collaboration across departments to ensure residents receive holistic care.

Operational Excellence:

* Maintain a well-stocked activity supply inventory and manage environmental enhancements.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in recreational therapy, activities programming, or a related field within senior housing or dementia care.

* Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

* A passion for working with individuals with dementia and enhancing their quality of life.

* Ability to inspire and educate both staff and families on memory care best practices.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Schedule & Environment:

* Typical Hours: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday-Thursday (with flexibility for special events and programs)

* Work Setting: Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with occasional outdoor activities.

* Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 25 lbs. as part of activity programming.
