Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting staff, including assigning and prioritizing work to meet deadlines and encourage individual career development
• Participate in the timely and accurate publishing of month-end financial statements including analysis that explains company performance.
• Manage and be hands-on in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries for multiple entities, while adhering to a strict close schedule.
• Lead high-volume accounts payable team with a focus on a timely and accurate payments process.
• Manage the accounts receivable and collection processes including weekly reporting.
• Improve operational processes with key business partners through process redesign, procedure development, and reporting enhancements.
• Play a key role in the implementation of systems related to the accounting function.
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax and annual property tax filings.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive accounting management experience including a prior role as Accounting Manager.
• Motivating team leader able to manage and complete a wide variety of complex accounting duties and projects.
• Strong analytical and advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Strong ERP/financial system skills and experience with a variety of systems.
• A driven, continuous improvement and control mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and collaboration.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highest attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven knowledge and application of GAAP.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting required.
  
  

Our support office is located in historic Folsom. Salary is $115,000-$120,000.
