The Assistant Controller will support the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports
- Manage and oversee property accounting functions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Supervise general ledger activities and reconcile accounts
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with management to enhance financial processes
- Support audits and help address any financial discrepancies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience working in Real estate or Property Management industries a plus
- Experience with Yardi and RealPage software preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
