Do you want to make a difference in the lives of students in need? Become a 1:1 Aide in a Special Education School. The 1:1 Aide is responsible for providing a structured learning experience and atmosphere. Responsibilities include: tutoring and arranging subjects, materials and schedules with classroom teacher(s) for the assigned child, responsible to assist classroom teacher(s) with special projects and lessons relative to the assigned child as needed, responsible to assist in securing classroom supplies, responsible to write anecdotal, incident, tutoring and other reports as necessary, responsible to perform other duties as may be worked out with the classroom teacher(s) and School Principal/Assistant Principal, and tending to program aide responsibilities as assigned.
This position is part-time and benefit eligible (medical, vision and dental).The salary for this position is between $15.00/hour and $17.20 DOE and includes paid time off (vacation, holiday, sick and elective).
Minimum of a High School Diploma is required, Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Person must have experience working with impulsive, aggressive students who require a very structured and nurturing individual who is able respond to inappropriate behavior with great patience and understanding.
This is a 35 hour a week role and is benefit eligible. While this role is a 12 month role, it does follow the school schedule and holidays.
