JOB DESCRIPTION
The Associate Director is in charge of operations when the Director is absent. Also responsible for maintaining files and providing resource support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be an advocate for the Mission and Vision set forth by CAPNCM.
- Answer telephone and take messages as needed for HD/WX Department and provide desired information or arrange for caller to contact the appropriate person. Place calls, as requested.
- Enter information into MHDC & MOWAP computer systems.
- Responsible for collecting all reverifications for rentals and signing new leases for rental properties.
- Prepare or look over all MHDC forms and Weatherization forms as needed.
- Assist with completion of monthly and quarterly reports, including reimbursements for Weatherization.
- Checking all clients to make sure they income qualify for WX/rental properties.
- Operate copy machines, calculator, computer, typewriter, fax, and other office machines on a routine basis.
- Provide programmatic information to the public in a professional manner. Treat all clients with courtesy and respect.
- Maintain accurate records of office and rental property inspections and repair needs.
- Conduct move-out of residents, unit inspections, complete move-out check list, and process all corresponding paperwork.
- Work with clients by assessing potential eligibility for Agency programs and services, as well as outside community resources, in order to benefit the family.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with community resources. Also provide information to community partners so that they are aware of the purpose and goals of CAPNCM and its programs.
- Active involvement in at least one civic, educational, or service group is preferred.
- Keep work area neat and clean in appearance.
- Participate in training activities as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of CAPNCM’s purpose, goals, mission/vision, policies and procedures, and resources.
- Knowledge of social and health resources in CAPNCM’s service area.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of demographics and geography of CAPNCM’s service area.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently (i.e. self-motivated; initiative).
- Ability to handle sensitive client information in a confidential, professional manner.
- Possess a valid, current Missouri driver’s license and provide proof of insurance.

Starting at $17.29 per hour

- Full-time position, 36 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm.
