Special Education Paraprofessional (1:1) at Green Tree Schools

As a 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll work closely with an individual student, following their Individualized Education Program (IEP) to provide personalized support and help them achieve their unique academic and developmental goals. The Individualized Education Programs (IEP) outlines specific objectives, accommodations, and services to ensure the student has the support they need to succeed in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Consistent Pay: Same rate for all work, with no differentiation between billable and non-billable hours, and no reductions for student cancellations  
• Schedule: 35 to 40 Hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (No nights, No weekends)

Job Responsibilities:  

• Assist with the implementation of the students Individualized Education (IEP).  
• Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.  
• Observe/Record data related to behavioral concerns to assess/monitor the progress of the student.  
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients' behavioral and developmental needs.  
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and techniques.  
• Assist students within the classroom/program setting during participation in special subjects such as physical education, vocational programs, and field trips. 

Qualifications:  

• At least 18 years of age  
• High school diploma or equivalent  
• A genuine passion for working with children, along with patience and compassion  

Preferred/Nice to have:    

• Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences
