The Greene County ESC is currently accepting applicants for a part time Job Coach (1-1.5 days a week).

The GCESC offers an array of programs and services including but not limited to Prevention Programming, Special Programs/Activities, Pupil Personnel and Administrative Support, School Improvement and Instructional Support, Staff Development, and Special Education Services and Programs. Some of our specific services include Speech/Language, Physical, Occupational Therapies, Adaptive Physical Education; Alternative School and Behavior Intervention for At-Risk Students; Mental Health Support Services, Vision & Hearing Intervention as well as Audiology Services, and Early Childhood Development/Preschool Programs. GCESC serves the school districts of Beavercreek City, Cedar Cliff Local, Fairborn City, Greeneview Local, Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local, Xenia Community, and Yellow Springs Exempted Village, as well as the Greene County Career Center.

Requirements:
- CPI certified (Preferred. Training can be offered through GCESC.)
- Ability to use technology—Computer for charting/documentation and other purposes.
- Educational Aide permit needed through ODE
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with students with varying ability levels/special needs (preferred)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Coach position job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Coaches/supervises students at job training sites
- Completes task analysis on students as requested
- Monitors student performance in a variety of work sites according to program guidelines.
- Determines additional skills student needs in order to be successful
- Maintains confidentiality for students, parents, and staff in all aspects of job
- Provides specific guidance to students in how to perform jobs
- Works under the direction of the Transition Coordinator
- Works with students at specified classrooms in districts and/or job training sites in the community.
- Works cooperatively with all District, GCESC, and job site staff
- Understands levels of students under his/her guidance will have varying ability levels and will need to be able to gauge assistance dependent on those abilities.
- Has acceptable oral and written language skills
- Follows all procedures under Board Policy and Legal requirements
- Is self-motivated, able to self-initiate in times of being unsupervised.
Classroom Assistant Salary Schedule: range $17 to $23 per hour depending on experience paid on the classroom assistant salary schedule
