Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Billing and Coding: Accurately prepare and submit claims for therapy services provided to residents, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and requirements.
- Insurance Verification: Work with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve any issues related to claims or payments.
- Billing Queries: Address inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders regarding billing statements, payments, and claims.
- Account Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile patient accounts to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Payment Posting: Process payments from insurance companies and patients, ensuring correct allocation to patient accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of financial reports and billing summaries for management.
- Communication: Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing issues and ensure that all documentation is in order for claims.
- Customer Service: Provide clear, courteous, and professional assistance to residents and families with any billing-related concerns.
