Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting up, serving, and closing the lounge
• Restocking food and beverages
• Cleaning up after guests
• Meet needs of guests with specific preferences
• Must be certified in TIPS class to understand guests with alcohol
• Work with business people and families and be able to understand the differences between the two, and our diverse clients
• Communicate effectively at all times with customers as well as all levels of employees and management/executives
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner 
• Responsible for greeting guest in a warm and friendly manner, including getting to know VIPs on a personal level and then share information with staff to personalize guest experiences
• Assistance and/or information to guests and visitors regarding the hotel, its facilities, and the surrounding area with its restaurants and attractions, and handle any special guest requests
• Serve and prepare drinks and some food items and will need to ensure that the proper materials and supplies are on hand
• Concierge is to make guests feel as if they are in one’s own home
• Perform the basic functions of a Front Desk associate
• Perform the basic functions of a 100 West associate
• Perform the basic functions of a valet/bell associate
• Extensive knowledge of each outlet for the purposes of guest information, making reservations, etc.  (Time will be spent in each unit to learn and get experience with this information.  The units will include, all restaurants, KAC, Blush, Sydney, Rio, Wings/Wings West, Sales, Housekeeping, Engineering, Banquets and Holiday Inn )
• Blush – learn Millennium system to be able to answer calls when the outlet is closed or busy and make reservations for guests 
• Restaurants – learn Open Table system to be able to make reservations for guests
• Perform the basic functions of a Rio associate in order to help cover breaks, step in to assist when busy, etc.
• Own the VIP and Amenities processes; ensuring items are gathered, put together and delivered; staying on top of and recognize birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of the daily events for the week
• Extensive community knowledge including our key company partners; in order to give directions, recommend local attractions
• Submit Big Foot and See Something, Say Something items
• Interact with and greet guests in lobby

Qualifications

What You Need for this Position

• Maintain an organized, clean work space
• General knowledge of local attractions and surrounding areas
• Experience with Opera or a Rooms Management system is a plus, but not required
• Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
• Able to stoop and bend
• Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
• Able to comply with safety and health code standards

Salary : $600
