Job Summary:

Mental health clinicians at Greenwoods are responsible for maintaining high quality care and timely documentation. One-to-one weekly supervision and group consultation are essential components of the work. Successful candidates will be motivated to contribute to a positive, ethical, and respectful work environment by upholding company mission, vision, and values.

The Youth Mental Health Clinician will work in partnership with Housatonic Youth Services Bureau to serve Region One schools and the local Juvenile Review Board (JRB). The incumbent will work collaboratively with the HYSB staff, Region One School District, partnering community agencies, school staff and parents to deliver clinical services, positive youth development, and prevention programming to children in grades K-12 and their families. The incumbent's primary area of responsibility is planning, organizing and delivering clinical group services and providing one-to-one counseling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform clinical assessments and provide individual counseling to individuals between 6 and 18 years of age
  • Provide clients with community resource information and referrals
  • Engage students, learn from peers and supervisors, and be an active member of a team
  • Provide basic case management for students and families; including collaboration with outside providers
  • Prepare appropriate documentation (notes, treatment plans, etc.) according to Company standards
  • Take JRB referrals and keep a case load for the student population
  • Coordinate the JRB board/team and keep updated with trainings at the state level
  • Train school counselors on JRB and how to utilize the program
  • Provide staff training on restorative justice circles in the classroom and how to utilize the techniques
  • Collaborate with community partners (i.e. Schools, State Police Troop B, etc)
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff at partner organizations and Greenwoods
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision to provide the highest quality of care
  • Help develop and implement needed educational and support programming for faculty, staff, and students
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of professionals and contribute to a positive culture that fosters integrity, respect, and a commitment to providing high quality care

This is a full-time, salaried position that will require travel throughout the region. A resume and cover letter is required for this application.

Pay: $60, $66,000.00 per year
