The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District seeks a high-performing candidate for the position of Principal of the Groton-Dunstable Regional High School to join our dynamic team. The high school principal will serve as the instructional leader of our high performing school, which consistently ranks in the top 10% both in Massachusetts and nationally. In this capacity, the principal will manage a staff of nearly 100 employees and serve as primary evaluator for teachers and building-level administrators. In addition, a successful candidate will perform the following functions:
- Employ a variety of strategies to build consensus with all stakeholders around a shared educational vision that empowers all students to succeed, regardless of variability.
- Set clear expectations for and provide support and professional development to all educators so they can design and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons that align to state standards and result in increased student outcomes.
- Model for educators how to reflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, colleagues, and parents by soliciting feedback from various stakeholders and using multiple sources of evidence and data when sharing reflections on own practice and making adjustments to practice.
- Regularly communicate with parents and members of the community through multiple mediums including press releases, social media posts, and a weekly blog.
- Support the district mission of acceptance, belonging, community and a district multi-tiered system of support in service of equitable outcomes for all staff and students.
- Develop, implement and monitor the high school operating budget, student activities budget, and international student tuition budget.
- Understand and comply with all laws, mandates, and policies.
