This is a part-time role at 72 hours over 3 weeks per month. You can join the team for 3 months or 12 months out of the year or many years; schedule is flexible. GUTTS is an entry level and job placement program.GUTTS gives back to the industry and our communities by creating opportunities for those who need Opportunity not hand outsInstructor Duties:Prepare, review, and recommend updates to the program course syllabus if needed.Work closely with GUTTS’s leadership to improve the program’s course curriculum and syllabus.Document student attendance, grades, and progress.Provide students with knowledge and skills development needs through instruction and labs.Create an effective learning environment.Ensure the safety of the training room and lab areas, machinery, tools, and equipment.Prepare students for testing to receive certifications.Comply with state and program policies and guidelines.Develop good relations with students and community partners.Maintain current knowledge of changes in trade industry and state requirements.Maintain instructor, student, and program staff confidentiality.Interact with students, co-workers, and business partners in a cooperative and professional manner. Company DescriptionThe GUTTS Program includes Plumbing and HVACR Apprentice Courses that provide individuals with classroom and lab training segueing into jobs and apprenticeships. After completing the course, GUTTS provides students with PHCC Certificate and GUTTS Certification of 72 Hours toward Accredited Apprenticeship and a tool bag with all the hand tools needed start on their first day as an apprentice. GUTTS is licensed by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) as a continuing education provider for the PHCC Plumbing Apprentice course and PHCC HVACR Apprentice course.
