Network Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – majority on-site)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 (DOE)

Overview
GTN is seeking a Network Engineer to support enterprise, campus, data center, and distributed partner network environments. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud networking, and network security technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in complex routing/switching environments, troubleshooting, and collaborating across technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments, with an emphasis on MPLS-based campus networks and cloud integrations.
- Troubleshoot and support complex networking systems including routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, load balancing, and firewall services.
- Partner with internal teams, external vendors, and campus stakeholders to evaluate requirements, develop solutions, and execute network projects.
- Mentor junior network administrators and contribute to technical knowledge sharing, documentation, and lifecycle planning.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed to maintain 24/7 network availability.

- Load Balancers: Citrix, F5
- VPN / SD-WAN / Cloud: Cisco VPN, Palo Alto VPN, Cisco Catalyst Center, SD-WAN platforms, cloud networking tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field and 5 years of professional experience in network administration
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Experience
- Routing & Switching / Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN
- Campus & Data Center Technologies: VXLAN, Cisco ACI (or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills including packet capture analysis and diagnostic tooling
Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)
- Cisco CCNP / CCNA (or equivalent)
- ITIL Foundation
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, grasp, and drive as required
- Fine eye-to-hand coordination: continuous

- Work performed indoors and outdoors, with possible exposure to varying temperatures, weather, equipment noise, and occasional dust
- Hybrid role with most days on-site in Phoenix, AZ
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
