SUMMARY
Finance Assistant responsibilities include assisting the Controller day-to-day operational accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Process and reconcile tuition fees
- Process daily sales reports
- Processing donation checks by generating transaction report and scanning checks for deposit
- Confirming back-up information for all credit card statements
- Maintain purchase order log
Requirements
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate clearly, and to read and write in English
- Ability to follow directions, regulations, safety guidelines, policies and procedures
- Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
- Procedures regarding punctuality and attendance are expected to be followed.
- Ability to pass Level 2 background screening and drug testing
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma/GED required
- Two years of finance/accounting experience, preferred
WORK CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Typically, an indoor office environment
- Minimal lifting may be required, not to exceed 25 pounds
