Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations for our IT and technology equipment, including receiving, inventory management, storage, kitting, staging, shipping, and asset control. This role ensures accurate tracking of hardware assets, efficient fulfillment of internal and customer orders, and proper handling of high-value, sensitive technology equipment.
The ideal candidate has experience managing warehouse operations in an environment dealing with IT hardware, electronics, or technical equipment and understands the importance of inventory accuracy, security, and process discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of IT equipment and materials
- Oversee inventory of laptops, desktops, servers, networking gear, peripherals, spare parts, and accessories
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP, WMS, or asset management systems
- Implement and enforce asset tracking, serial number control, and chain-of-custody procedures
- Coordinate with IT, Procurement, Operations, and Project Teams to support deployments and internal equipment needs
- Manage hardware staging, imaging, kitting, and deployment preparation
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of high-value and sensitive equipment
- Develop and improve warehouse processes, layout, and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff and contractors
- Establish cycle count programs and manage physical inventory audits
- Manage shipping and receiving logistics, including carriers and freight providers
- Monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment time, and shipping accuracy
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and security procedures
- Manage disposal, recycling, and RMA processes for obsolete or defective equipment
Qualifications
- 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience (preferably in IT, electronics, or technology environments)
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience managing serialized inventory and high-value assets
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, WMS, or ERP systems
- Comfortable working with IT hardware and technology equipment
- Strong organizational and process-improvement skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs])
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software
