This position helps the bakery team develop, guide, and hold the culinary baking vision of Guido’s. Help with the creation, evolution, and refresh of the baking offerings through recipe development while staying true to the brand. Our bakery is brand new, so the sky's the limit with what the right person can do. Since we are a family-owned grocery and specialty market work life balance is important. This could be a dream opportunity for the right baker who may be looking to get out of the grind of a hotel or restaurant gig.

Previous baking experience is required, formal training/schooling is preferred but not required.
Shifts: This can be a full-time or part-time position. One weekend day availability is a must. Shifts are 6-2:30pm
Pay Range Up to $20.00/hr, commensurate with experience
Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with the bakery team preparing, producing, and helping develop recipes.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the Guido’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Ensure attractive presentation and quality of all baked goods
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization along with the safety of all work areas
- Help maintain a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
Key Skills Required
- Passion for food; should be bright, seasonal, and ingredients driven
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Active Food Safety Certificate
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/priorities and deliver results in a demanding work environment
