Description: The Digital Print Operator will set up, adjust, and safely operate all relevant equipment to create high-quality finished products that meet brand specifications. You’ll ensure everything is done on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures, using your innovative and quick problem-solving skills.
In this role, you’ll adapt projects as needed and show responsibility and efficiency. We’re looking for someone passionate and driven, eager to keep things running smoothly in our fast-paced, creative environment. You’ll need to have great attention to detail, stick to project schedules, and be able to multitask effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring all products are completed to perfection.
- Reach out to technicians and follow established procedures when equipment is down or encounters an unknown issue.
- Set up machines and equipment for assigned print jobs.
- Monitor assigned machines, adjusting speed, temperature, ink flow, and product positioning to ensure proper registration and/or correct cut and scoring specifications.
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain set specifications and ensure a timely flow of materials.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
- Possess the ability to seek out training and introduce new techniques to enhance the department.
- Assist in loading the printer and moving printed materials to the next stage in the production process.
- Update and maintain a library of printed samples for reference as needed.
- Perform various duties as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
The following Education/Experience is required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Knowledgeable on Adobe Suite (Especially Illustrator, InDesign & Photo Shop but not limited to these)
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
- Having some knowledge of graphic arts and printing industry is very beneficial to this position.
- Knowledgeable on servicing digital printers and/or wide format printers.
- Working knowledge of digital printing procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
