What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Mechanic position at Haig Point Club?
General Purpose:
Provide a full range of Maintenance and repair services for cars, diesel and electric Marine & Land vehicles in a safe efficient manner. Assume all responsibilities in the absence of the Manager.
Essential Duties:
¨ Troubleshooting mechanical & electrical problems especially in the Marine field.
¨ Good communication skills & basic computer knowledge.
¨ Ability to rebuild Marine diesel engines in shop.
¨ Preventative maintenance on all company ferries and equipment.
¨ Maintenance and repair of golf carts.
¨ Additional duties may be assigned when necessary.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
South Carolina Driver's License
