Private Events & Catering Manager

Haig Point Club & Community is looking for a dynamic, service-driven professional to join our team as the Private Events & Catering Manager. The ideal candidate will must be an excellent communicator and possess a high degree og organizational skills. General Purpose: To plan, organize and execute a memorable events for the Club with a high level degree of service.
Essential Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HPCC private catering events and ensures proper management of all catered events, including, but not limited to: sales, marketing, planning, merchandising, servicing and corresponding administrative procedures.
- Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal to delivery.
- Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet and exceed expectations.
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
- Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
- Managing supplier relationships
- Managing operational and administrative functionsto ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
- Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to your team
- Travelling to on-site inspections and project managing events as well
- Initiates orders for special requests such as cakes, flowers, décor, entertainment, A/V equipment, etc.
- Informs the F & B Manager and/or the appropriate Service Managers of staffing requirements for all functions.
- Coordinates the execution of private parties and receptions and serves as the host’s representative to the club’s F&B staff in conjunction with Executive Chef and other Service Managers.
- Keeps the banquet schedule and Master calendar up-to-date and ensures the timely and complete preparation of banquet event orders.
- Conducts daily/weekly BEO meetings and reconciles/closes BEOs on a daily basis
- Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.
- Ensuring excellent customer serviceand quality delivery
- Prepares, implements and compiles data for various reports such as Annual Sales Plan, Monthly Catering Report, Annual Goals, Forecasts and other reports as directed.
- Develops new ideas for theme events in conjunction with Sales and Marketing, Recreation, Food and Beverage, Golf and Membership departments.
- Books banquets, caterings and corresponding recreational activities.
- Works with Food & Beverage department to develop banquets menus, pricing and revenue minimums using current and competitive data.
- Participates in pre-event presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
- Ensures accurate and timely invoicing for all services rendered.
- Implements policies and procedures for the Catering Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and service.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Other Requirements:
Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide range of personalities and interest groups. He/She must be a self- starter in addition to having an aptitude for creativity and imagination.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays along with the ability to operate a motorized Golf Cart.
