Job Summary
Handrail Design, Inc., a Lancaster-based manufacturer of custom stainless steel handrail systems, has an immediate need for a production assistant.
Responsibilities and Duties
The position's typical duties include:
- receiving and unloading freight and materials, both manually or with forklifts or pallet jacks;
- inspecting incoming goods to verify quantity and quality;
- packing and loading outgoing shipments;
- making local truck deliveries and pick-ups in company vehicle;
- assisting in maintaining inventory control and records;
- participating in general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate must have:
- knowledge of basic math skills and experience with handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies;
- operating material handling equipment;
- reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Familiarity with hand power tools a plus.
- Familiarity with computers and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to lift sixty pounds, be fluent in English, and provide work related references.
- Pre-employment background check including motor vehicle report required.
- Prospective employees must meet requirements of HDI's Driver MVR Policy.
- Pre-employment drug test required.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
