What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asset Recovery Specialist position at HAPO Community Credit Union?
HAPO Community Credit Union is looking for an Asset Recovery Specialist (Collector) to join the team! HAPO's reputation for superior service is exemplified by the Asset Recovery department. The successful candidate will be able to collect with care, provide a positive telephone experience, and maintain relationships with our growing membership. Core Job Functions:
- Make a high volume of outbound calls while taking a high volume of inbound calls
- Process payments via internal software
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of all conversations with Members
- Correspond with Members via email and chat
- Ability to diffuse situations as well as an ability to ask difficult questions with tact
- Ability to actively listen and retain information from Members calling in to discuss payment arrangements & hardships as well as help with filing insurance or GAP claims and any other requests for assistance
- Fluidly be able to navigate between various internal software and Microsoft Office & Word
Requirements:
- Must be able to work Mon-Fri 8:30-6:15
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and overtime
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous work history in fast paced environment & Call Center experience preferred

Starting Pay Range (DOE): $21.57 - $26.96
