What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Handler position at Happy Hound DayCare, LLC?
Happy Hound Daycare is seeking a local individual who is fun, energetic, reliable, and a team player! While prior experience in hands-on pet care is preferred, a love and respect for dogs is essential. This fast-paced position involves:
- Supervising 30-35 dogs of various breeds and sizes
- Maintaining cleanliness of the daycare
- Documenting important information
- Reinforcing training commands and promoting calm behavior
- Being active for extended periods
- Lifting at least 50 pounds when needed
- Interacting with customers face-to-face and on the phone
- Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Making quick decisions and solving problems independently
This part-time role includes morning and afternoon shifts lasting 4-6 hours, with opportunities for additional hours when other staff members are absent. While we take our responsibilities seriously, we maintain a positive outlook to ensure the dogs have a great time.
