As a Quality Control Microbiologist, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring product safety and quality through rigorous microbiological testing and validation. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting microbiology tests (e.g., sterility, bioburden, endotoxin) on air, water, and product samples.
• Managing inventory of microbiology-related materials.
• Leading test method transfer and validation activities.
• Developing and updating QC testing procedures.
• Supporting quality audits and inspections, providing data and rationale.
• Training team members on microbiological testing protocols.

The Skills You Will Need As a Quality Control Microbiologist, you’ll bring a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills:

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in microbiological techniques (swabbing, plating, streaking).
• Experience with sterility, bioburden, and endotoxin testing (minimum 3 years).
• Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of validation practices (IQ/OQ, PQ) and QMS processes.
• Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in method development and transfer in regulated environments.
• Exposure to cleanroom environments (ISO 5, 7, or 8).
• Root cause analysis expertise for out-of-specification investigations.
