Responsibilities:
- Collect samples of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products for analysis.
- Prepare samples for testing through proper techniques and procedures.
- Conduct various chemical tests using analytical instruments to determine the composition and properties of materials.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, titrators, and other analytical instruments.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine calibration.
- Analyze test results and interpret findings, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing test outcomes, deviations, and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests, procedures, and results.
- Document any deviations from established protocols and participate in investigations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to existing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methods.
- Adhere to safety protocols in the laboratory.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting.
- Proficiency in the use of analytical instruments and laboratory techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting data.
- Knowledge of quality control standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
