Payroll Supervisor

Our current opening for a Payroll Supervisor is an important member of the Corporate Payroll and Human Resources teams located at our Tukwila, Washington office. This position is a hands-on supervisory role with the following responsibilities that include:

• Oversee and supervise the organizations payroll functions, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
• Supervise direct reports in all areas of Payroll.
• Actively participate in the timely and accurate payroll processing on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis.
• Ensure all payroll processing including but not limited to, garnishments, government mandated deductions, employee accounts for tool purchases, status changes for new hires, promotions, transfers, raises and terminations transactions are completed timely and on schedule.
• Identify opportunities to inform and train regional supervisors on common payroll practices and matters as it pertains to employees.
• Responsible for regularly informing and educating supervisors and other users of Time Management responsibilities and other related duties.
• Develop and identify effective communication methods for UKG tool utilization.
• Manage internal and external check transactions, special payments and earnings.
• Reconcile employee accrual balances and make corrections as necessary.
• Preview payroll reports - verify data entry; verify expenses & bonuses balance to register.
• Research and resolve all payroll errors prior to submitting final payroll; submit payroll for preview.
• Perform and audit post-payroll tasks, reconciliations and relocation reimbursements for taxable expenses.
• Research and apply updates to federal, state, and local payroll and tax laws.
• Properly account for payroll transactions in the general ledger.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Payroll software. We utilize UKG (Ultimate Software).
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Friendly, helpful and patient demeanor who likes to collaborate with other team members.
• Provide supportive and helpful customer service to all employees and departments located in 5 states.

Education and Experience:

• 8 years or more experience in payroll processing with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Prefer a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or Payroll certification.

We offer a competitive benefits package that includes salary from $93,200 to $114,000 based on experience, health benefits, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing and company match!
