Harrison Gray Search has been retained by a leading Michigan-based insurance organization to identify an experienced Account Manager to serve educational clients across the Greater Lansing area.
This is a high-impact role focused on delivering exceptional service and retaining valued members in both Property & Casualty and Workers' Compensation programs. As the primary liaison between the organization and school districts, you’ll build strong relationships, respond to service requests, and deliver coverage solutions that support Michigan’s public schools.
The Account Manager will split time between being in the office regularly and on the road visiting schools throughout the Greater Lansing area, building lasting relationships and ensuring a top-tier member experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the go-to resource for school administrators on insurance-related matters.
- Conduct annual on-site visits and maintain proactive communication with members.
- Present proposals and renewals for liability, property, and workers’ comp coverages.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Claims, Risk Control, Underwriting) to meet member needs.
- Represent the organization at school events, conferences, and seminars.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of experience in Risk Management or Insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Willingness to obtain a Michigan P&C Agent License within 3 months of hire.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Based near Greater Lansing and able to travel within the territory.
