What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Trainer position at Harry and David?
The Production Trainer is responsible for providing hands-on floor and/or classroom training. Trainers will be assigned to an individual department.
- Responsible for training employees on all functional aspects of their position.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) for effective interaction with all levels of company personnel and external customers.
- Must be able to promote a team effort to achieve common goals, as well as give and receive constructive feedback.
- Must be able to lead classroom discussion and answer follow up questions.
- Excellent attendance record is required.
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
- Must be able to withstand a production environment with exposure to food allergens, dust and varying temperatures.
Starting wage: $19.90/hr
Swing Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am (Aug.-Dec)
Day Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm (Jan.-Aug.)
Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college experience preferred.
- 1 years of supervisory or team lead experience with proven communication, administrative and technical skills.
- Must be able to lift to 30lbs continuously.
- Walk and stand for extended for entire shift (8-10 hours) Ability to present information clearly and concisely to an associate or group.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines while being detail oriented.
- Must be flexible about schedule and job assignments. Hours and days may change based on production needs and overtime may be required in the fall months.
- Honest and respectful communication.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
- This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
