About the Job
Harvey & Battey, P.A. is a full-service law firm with a growing estate planning/probate practice. We are looking to add a third paralegal to our team.
Position Summary: The Estate Paralegal will be responsible for client management and the preparation of probate and estate documents.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engaging with clients to gather information for probate proceedings.
- Preparing probate court documents for execution by attorneys and clients.
- Communicating with clients, attorneys, financial institutions, and the probate court by telephone, mail, and email.
- Maintaining legal files (both paper and electronic), organizing and filing documents.
- Managing client billing.
- Printing, scanning, and photocopying legal documents.
- Managing document deliveries and tracking final executed documents.
- Assisting with other projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including WORD and Outlook as well as document management and other office technologies.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team.
Qualifications & Prior Experience
- Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years in the legal industry or a related field.
- Must be proficient with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Accounting skills and experience are a plus.
