Primarily Remote – Occasional onsite presence in Towson, MD (1–2 days/week as needed)
1-year contract (with potential multi-year extension)
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder only
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Dashboard Development
Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
Optimize visualizations for usability, clarity, and business relevance
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specs
Document report logic, data definitions, and update procedures
Data Analysis & Validation
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating reports against source systems
Perform data profiling and cleansing where needed
Collaboration & User Support
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that support strategic and operational decisions
Provide end-user support and training for BI tools as necessary
Required Skills & Experience:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant BI/reporting experience; OR
No degree with 10 years of direct experience in business intelligence and data analytics
BI Tools:
Proficient in Power BI or Tableau (both preferred)
Data & Database:
Strong experience writing complex SQL queries
Solid understanding of Data Warehouse principles and best practices
Microsoft 365:
Advanced experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
Familiarity with SharePoint and Teams for collaboration and document control
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with K-12 school systems or education sector reporting
Experience integrating multiple data sources into a unified reporting structure
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-impact reporting solutions
Additional Details:
Local candidates only. Candidates must be able to commute to Towson, MD occasionally. Out-of-state or non-local candidates cannot be considered.
