About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Systems Administrator / Trainer to support and enhance our internal business systems. This contractor role will focus on the administration and development of SharePoint sites and support of our Atlassian tool suite (primarily Confluence and Jira). You’ll serve as the bridge between technical platforms and business stakeholders, delivering tailored solutions, documentation, and training to promote adoption and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and enhance SharePoint sites and Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) to meet business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders and implementation teams to identify system needs and deliver custom workflows, folder structures, dashboards, and templates.
Act as a systems gatekeeper, ensuring operational integrity, permissions management, and data quality.
Deliver system performance reports and KPIs to business leaders (weekly, monthly, and ad hoc).
Design and maintain scalable workflows, SOPs, standards, and goals using SharePoint and Atlassian tools.
Translate business requirements into effective system solutions, leveraging integrations and automation where appropriate.
Partner with IT to maintain system stability, test updates/features, and troubleshoot issues.
Provide ongoing user training, onboarding sessions, and create documentation and training materials.
Serve as liaison with vendors for tool support, training, and upgrades.
Support ad hoc operational and reporting tasks, including cross-functional project management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–4 years of hands-on experience with SharePoint (site creation, architecture, and/or admin).
2–4 years in one or more of the following roles:
Functional Systems Administrator
Configuration Manager
Solution Architect
Project Manager
Consultant
Trainer
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
1–2 years of experience administering Atlassian tools, especially Confluence and Jira.
Experience with tool integrations using APIs (e.g., Slack API, Jira API) is a plus.
Proven ability to build and scale documentation libraries, knowledge bases, and digital asset management systems.
A creative and strategic mindset for digital workflow and system design.
Strong organizational, time management, and reporting abilities.
