Job Summary

  • The Admin is a lead member of administration, who works closely with the other members of admin to support the mission and values of Piper Preschool.
  • The candidate works closely with the Administrative Team to assure that all functions of this job description are fulfilled.
  • The candidate is committed to sustaining a high-quality preschool program that values partnerships between families and staff, and creating an open and honest working environment that inspires professionalism and rewards creative, innovative teaching.
  • The candidate must assist the members of the administrative team as needed in overseeing all operations to ensure a quality experience for all members of the Piper community.
    • Review and enforce Personnel Policies.
    • Review, enforce, and rehearse Safety Procedures.
    • Review licensing requirements and maintain compliance with regulations.
    • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and onboarding all teaching staff.
    • Manage time off and time cards for faculty.
    • Submit hours to Payroll bi-weekly.
    • Understand and enforce all policies within the Faculty Handbook.
  • Communicate when necessary with the Director of Operations and Department of Social Services. (101215.1)
  • Work with the Community Coordinator to maintain the culture of Piper Preschool by cultivating a community in which faculty, families, children, and guests feel a sense of belonging.
  • Work with the Director to assist in instituting systems for the selection, supervision, performance, management, evaluation, placement, and release of employed staff.
  • Serve as a member of the Piper Administrative Team.
    • Assist the Director as needed with overall management to help ensure safety and top-quality programming throughout entire organization.
    • Assist all Administrative Team members as needed.
    • Work closely with staff to ensure consistent representation of philosophy and cohesiveness throughout the school.
  • Meet weekly with the Director to discuss accountability and updates; Meet with the Administrative Team to review current events, discuss the status of pending items, and construct new policies and procedures for all of Piper Preschool. Communicate any collective decisions to the appropriate parties as directed by the Director.
  • Actively participate in regularly scheduled Administrative Team meetings to address programming, health and safety, facilities, operations, human resources, or other concerns. Consult frequently with the Director and take proactive measures to address concerns as they arise.
Requirements

  • The candidate of Piper Preschool must have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field (an advanced degree is preferred), Site Supervisor Permit, and at least five years of experience in working with young children.

Schedule: Monday through Friday | Schedule to reflect daily operations and programming.

Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision on the 1st of the month after 60 days of service. 401k after 12 months of service. Sick leave and paid holidays.
