Summer Program: Discovery Club / Access 21 Enrichment
Dates/Hours:
June 24th - June 28th Training week at HHS
1 day TBD to meet/plan with assigned student intern
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
July 1st to July 25th
During and outside of program hours:
7:45 am - 12:00 pm (Hunking School); 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (Haverhill High School)
Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times.
Location: Haverhill High School and/or Hunking School
Salary: $1000.00 Stipend
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority: Directly responsible to the Summer Academy Extended Year Coordinator and/or the After-School Program Director and/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Mentor HHS student education intern
- Meet with HHS student education intern outside of summer program hours to support student education intern with summer program training plan objectives/goals
- Include opportunities for student education intern to work with individual students, small groups and eventually lead a whole class lesson by the end of the program.
- Assist with evaluation and data collection
- Maintain enrollment and attendance records
- Responsible for other duties as indicated by directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Teacher by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Required
- Experience in Discovery Club or Access 21 – Preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Bilingual - Preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
