POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is part of the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company LLC Team.
Under the direction of the Visitor Center Associate Manager, the Visitor Center Key Holder assists the Visitor Center Associate Manager in managing Mauna Loa Macadamia Visitor Center’s (MLMVC) general operations, including the Visitor Center, surrounding grounds, food service and safety and security. The Visitor Center Key Holder functions in the capacity of the Visitor Center Associate Manager for the guest experience and food service in the absence of the Visitor Center Associate Manager.
\n- OPERATIONS/GUEST EXPERIENCE/MANAGER ON DUTY (75%):
- Assist the Visitor Center Associate Manager in the supervision, management, evaluation, and training of MLMVC team members in achieving sales and service objectives.
- Responsible for and/or provides input in staff work performance evaluations.
- Provides direction to the team to various workstations based on visitor traffic flow, workload, and other operational needs.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and responsible for reporting any errors.
- Requisitions merchandise and supplies as needed.
- Follows merchandising, inventory guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure the compliance of all products and codes in the store and the preparation and packaging of confectionery plant products.
- Assist visitors with send sales (including preparation of shipping labels and mailing it out) – visitors will be able to physically pay for product while in the MLMVC and have it shipped to their desired location.
- SAFETY, SECURITY, and FACILITIES (15%):
- Deal with safety, emergency, and security situations involving staff, customers, and facilities; provide proper notification of appropriate agencies and personnel; ensures the general safety of staff personnel, customers, and visitors.
- ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS (10%):
- Prepare and maintain necessary reports related to all operations.
- Maintain on-time and excellent attendance.
- Provide administrative backup support as needed.
- Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. Special precautions to observe proper lifting and carrying techniques.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
- Must have at least one (1) year of retail supervisory/lead experience required; preferably in a food retail environment.
- Must be able to bring our brand to life and create exceptional experiences for our customers.
- Must have strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, time management, attention-to-detail, and business acumen skills.
- Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the business, including holiday, weekend, and night requirements.
- Ability to supervise in a multicultural workforce.

Salary : $16 - $19
