Hazen is currently seeking a full time Mid-Level Structural Engineer for employment opportunity in our Twin Cities office.
Prospective applicants must have between 3 and 8 years of experience and have a BS degree or MS (preferred) in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited institution. Prospective applicants must also have a Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain such in the State of Minnesota.
- Engineer’s responsibilities will include performing assessment, design and construction tasks for water and wastewater treatment projects. Engineer will be responsible for performing site inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure and for production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans / specifications for environmental structures such as industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, storage facilities and treatment facilities. Engineer will also participate in construction tasks for similar projects including submittal review, responding to RFI’s, site inspections and clarifications during construction.
- The selected individual will lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects involving upgrades to wastewater, water and reclaimed water treatment plants, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations and distributions / collection systems.
- Experience in design and construction of reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel and aluminum is required as well as knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and structural analysis and design software.
- Candidate must be effective communicator and be able to successfully work in a multi-discipline team environment.
