What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist position at HBHS9?
NOTE: Three (3) positions are available.
The Elderly Psychosocial Specialist I assist with planning and providing psychosocial rehabilitation services. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with group games, arts and crafts, holiday celebrations, outings and exercise for elderly individuals. Reports to Division Coordinator of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with target population preferred. Previous experience as a clinician in a day treatment setting with adults is preferred. Must have valid Mississippi Commercial driver’s license with good driving history (or able and willing to obtain). Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
