Position Purpose
Reporting into Heartland’s Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will process and manage payroll for the entire organization.

Essential Position Responsibilities
- Run the entire payroll processing function for employees in the organization.
- Compile required employee information for all new hires.
- Manage and electronically store all employee records.
- Ensure accurate information is entered into ADP, the payroll software, as well as third party web portals.
- Ensure all data in ADP and third-party web portals are up to date, account for all changes in status.
- Ensure all employee benefit deductions are reconciled to benefits charged from 3rd party providers.
- Manage the open enrollment process, all of it is done in an on-line portal.
- Ensure tax filings and other government filings are completed and accurate. ADP completes most filings, but problems will often occur where follow-up is necessary.
- Ad hoc reporting
- All other appropriate duties as required by Manager
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s is a must
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
- 2 years of payroll experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
- Healthcare and/or facilities-based background is a plus
