Job Summary
The Vice President of Finance possesses full knowledge of the accounting principles and the full accounting process from end to end. Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance plays an important role in building and maintaining an outstanding finance team to support the Company's continued financial growth and stability. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services division’s financial strategy, planning, and management to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and growth.
Supervises (title[s]): Chief Accountant, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, Fiscal Systems Manager, and Billing Supervisor (14)
Job Responsibilities
- Establish a solid financial foundation with systems and processes to enable long-term scale.
- Analyze business risks and opportunities and make strategic recommendations that positively impact financial results.
- Build world-class practices around revenue maximization, budget development, and adherence to various funding and regulatory requirements, including an operational foundation to support significant growth.
- Create, maintain, and prioritize a roadmap, with an emphasis on technological and systemic solutions to achieve efficiency and resource maximization.
- Analyze and enhance financial reporting to provide timely information to key stakeholders.
- Ability to streamline and implement technology and systems, processes, and tools to enable efficiency and scalability.
- Manage, develop, and mentor a team of talented individuals.
- May prepare interim and year-end reports, journal entries, and cost analysis reports.
- Coordinate and prepare for financial audits.
- Serve on agency committees.
- Other tasks as assigned to meet agency goals and adhere to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent.
- 5 years of management and leadership experience.
- Strong experience with federal and state agencies full-cycle grants and contracts administration NYC DOHMH, NYC ACS, NYC DYCD, NYS OCFS, NYS OMH, and federal contracts.
- Self-starter, who is execution-focused and results oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment.
- Strategic, innovative thinker with proven execution, leadership & communication skills.
- Proven track record of qualitatively solving business problems, by breaking down issues and presenting solutions; quantitatively framing strategic initiatives, and financially operationalizing activities of the company.
- Experience with managing and integrating various financial and non-financial systems, NetSuite experience preferred.

Salary : $185,000 - $210,000
