What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Assistant position at Helinet Aviation?
Helinet is seeking a motivated, results-driven Facilities Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Helinet’s facilities. They will further assist the operations and maintenance departments by repositioning aircraft, maximizing ramp space usage based on daily flight operations, and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all aircraft. On occasion, the Facilities Assistant position will also be required to drive the company fuel truck for off-airport aircraft fueling outside of normal business hours. The Facilities Assistant will ensure the administration offices remain clean throughout the day. This role requires the willingness to work in all weather conditions.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Maintains, cleans, and organizes hangars and hangar cabinets
- Cleans interiors and exteriors of aircraft; washes aircraft as required
- Manage vendor relationships with various facilities companies
- Lead in-house refurbishment projects
- Replenishes charter drinks and snacks
- Cleans charter/medical beverage coolers and aircraft headsets
- Ensures that tie-downs and covers are used on aircraft when not in flight
- Operates company equipment, such as automobiles, fuel truck, golf carts, and ground handling equipment
- Assists with repositioning aircraft
- Monitors functionality of ground handling equipment and advises the maintenance department when equipment requires service
- Maintains office restrooms, general facilities and restock supplies
- Performs other duties and projects as directed
- Assist the Chief Pilot or DO by completing additional assigned tasks or duties pertaining to the all-around operational needs of the Company
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- 18 years of age or older
- Two (2) years of general work experience, or equivalent
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Either has, or has the ability to obtain, Commercial and HAZMAT endorsements
- Experience with aviation ground handling preferred
