Job Summary:
The role of the Environmental Services Assistant is to provide the PCS community with janitorial, maintenance and repairs to create and maintain the beautification and welcoming environment of the campus while ensuring compliance with all OSHA standards.
Responsibilities:
- Performs daily porter duties, including, but are not limited to, wiping tables, refilling portable sinks, blowing, and raking the campus, sweeping, and mopping the auditorium.
- Assists with all building maintenance and repairs.
- Collects exterior lunch trash.
- Executes janitorial cleansing tasks and special projects as needed. (Example: dusting pianos, removing spider webs, cleaning rain gutters, assisting with cleaning the vehicles, removing abandoned perimeter trash, etc.)
- Adjusts and conducts minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Responsible for painting the interior and exterior of school buildings to include field lines for sporting events, and parking lot lines.
- Assembles furniture for classrooms, business offices, etc.
- Restocks paper and soap dispensers and maintains supply rooms.
- Serves as a point of contact and responds to radio calls across campus for assistance.
- Assists with vendor deliveries.
- Responsible for putting orange traffic cones out each morning on Garfield.
- Assists with setup and teardown of chairs, tables, extension cords, and microphones.
- Required to follow all health and safety regulations. This includes ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Compensation:
The hourly compensation for this role is $17.50-$24.00. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to salary, PCS offers a generous benefits package including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision benefit plans for eligible employees.
