Role Description
We’re looking for an ambitious and curious IT intern to join our team. This role is ideal for students or recent grads interested in and/or specialized in cybersecurity and networking, with the added bonus of learning how IT powers the radiology world. You'll gain hands-on experience with PACS systems, DICOM workflows, modality integrations, possibly HL7 messaging, and more. You’ll also get to interact directly with radiologists, take calls from techs at hospitals and clinics, and play a role in troubleshooting real-world issues. This will be either a 6 month or 1 year internship depending on various factors. This is a PAID internship ranging between $16-$18 /hr, with pay based on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Learn and Do
- Assist in cybersecurity monitoring, endpoint hardening, and policy enforcement
- Support networking and VPN configurations (on-prem and in the Cloud)
- Shadow and assist with PACS, HL7, and DICOM troubleshooting
- Learn how Radiology IT integrates with real-time medical workflows
- Participate in software deployments, updates, and system audits
- Field and document support calls from healthcare facilities and radiologists
- Collaborate with IT leadership to improve support workflows and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or networking program
- Strong interest in healthcare IT or radiology technology
- Comfortable talking on the phone and explaining tech to non-technical users
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn quickly and ask questions
- Basic understanding of networking, system/cyber security, and scripting is a plus
- Python, JavaScript, SQL experience is a hug plus - not required but willingness to learn will put you above others
- Bonus points for any exposure to: HL7, DICOM, PACS, Linux, Windows Server, SQL, Google Cloud Platform

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- (Ideally graduating within the next 12 months)
- Certifications are a major plus – Network , Security , Cisco, or anything that shows initiative and technical chops
- Strong communication skills and a professional (but friendly) phone presence
- Most importantly: a genuine hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced, real-world healthcare IT environment
