POSITION: Division Assistant (PHS) 37.5 hrs/wk Grade 3 Effective: November 12, 2021
ASSIGNMENT: 10 Month, 198 Days
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: An employee in this position is expected to possess appropriate organizational and interpersonal skills, exercise initiative and independent judgment, and keep informed of new policies and procedures. The employee must also be aware of and maintain confidentiality while performing duties. There is considerable contact with staff, students, parents and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must have knowledge of office practices, procedures and office equipment.
Must organize and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines.
Must keyboard accurately and efficiently.
Must move frequently from workstation to various other areas throughout the building.
Must have physical ability to lift supplies, materials and boxes.
Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills in communicating with staff, students, parents and the public.
Must project a positive image of the district to the public, staff and students as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
1. Supports division staff by:
entering class attendance into the computer when a teacher is absent
providing support to substitute teachers with their assignments
performing other clerical duties related to the division
ensuring operation of office equipment
2. Supports the Division Head by scheduling activities and maintaining the division calendar.
3. Monitors attendance for all division staff by forwarding daily report to main office.
4. Assists, as needed, with school registration.
5. Continues job performance improvements by participating in appropriate professional growth activities.
