- Have a mission and vision for the long-term success of the Girls Flag Football program.
- Work with under-level teams to create an entire Girls Flag Football program
- Creates program philosophies that are consistently executed and transparent to athletes and parents
- Foster an engaging, positive atmosphere of discipline and accountability
- Foster a culture of support and leadership that will help student athletes grow and develop on and off the field
- Demonstrate the ability and experience to increase the Girls Flag Football knowledge, skills and expertise of staff in all phases of the game
- Demonstrate the capacity and leadership necessary to design clinics, staff meetings, summer camps, and off-season programs that ensure staff awareness and commitment concerning program expectations
- Delegate specific duties as needed and supervise their implementation throughout the season. At season’s end, analyze staff effectiveness and contribute to the overall evaluation and growth of all assistants
- Participate in the budgeting process with the Athletic Director
- Possess the capacity for maintaining good public relations with news media, parents, and officials
- Encourages multisport participation and creates an atmosphere that is conducive to athlete’s participation in other sports

The Head Coach is responsible for providing leadership and direction for all phases of the Girls Flag Football program including its long-term development, organization and coordination of all levels of play, scheduling, and budgeting. The head coach is responsible for coordinating and directing, in concert with school administration, Girls Flag Football related public relations activities within the athletic department, school, booster parent associations, and the community.
An exceptional candidate must possess the following skills:
