What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager - Children's Services position at Highlands Community Services (HCS)?

If you enjoy working with children and their families, the Children’s Case Manager offers an opportunity for you to impact others by providing vital behavioral health services and supports. The Children’s Case Manager provides case management services to at risk and seriously emotionally disturbed youth who are struggling with mental health related issues and behavioral concerns in the school, home, and community. Children’s case managers work with a team of mental health providers to assess the child for services, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and coordinate, monitor, and refer for services and/or resources needed by the child and family to help them work towards being successful in all environments. Case managers collaborate regularly with other providers, schools, and community agencies, assume an advocacy role for services, and are responsible for maintaining client records.

Position Specifics
Location: Children’s Campus – Abingdon, VA
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday
Compensation: $18.50 – Commensurate with education/experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
