Family Support Partner
The purpose of this position is to work collaboratively as part of the Children’s Community-Based Team at Highlands Community Services (HCS) in providing peer recovery services and to aid in the Department/Agency’s goals and objectives.
Location: Abingdon, VA
Status: Full-time, Non-exempt, Monday-Friday
Compensation: $15.00 - Commensurate with education/experience
Education: High School Diploma/GED and Peer Recovery Specialist Certification required and can be completed after hire.
Experience: Lived experience as 1) a parent of a minor or adult child with a similar or co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorder or 2) an adult with personal experience with a family member with a similar or co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorder. To be considered, you must provide an explanation of how your lived experience qualifies you for this role.
