Overview
This position combines the conventional roles of Supply Chain management and Purchasing. This position is responsible for 3rd Party demand forecast, local distribution chain, supply planning, inventory management, supply chain project management, supply chain related regulatory compliance and purchasing.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, ability to think
strategically, and excellent problem solving, communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide influential leadership throughout the organization and will represent the team in formal business reviews.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve the demand process:
- Responsible for the process to coordinate customer/product forecast with Sales then develop inventory targets and supply plan to ensure that the forecast is fulfilled in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Assess the accuracy of the forecast by customer, product and SKU.
- Develop and track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
- Manage and improve the supply process:
- Develop the 3rd party master supply plan using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined inventory targets. Responsible to create stock replenishments and toll plan using the master plan.
- Develop and identify metrics, tools, resources and roadmaps to support high customer service.
- The position will coordinate activities with the Sales and Customer Service teams. Because of the scope of operational responsibilities, this position will drive improvement across the organization and play a key role in change management with leadership skills and collaboration with Business, Customers, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, and other functional groups.
- Assists in the negotiation and administration of assigned NDAs, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other related agreements.
- Assists in preparation of subcontract solicitations
- Participates in the evaluation of subcontractor proposals for adherence to company and client requirements.
- Prepares status reports and briefs management on issues or problems.
- Assists management and subcontract personnel in the resolution of subcontract-related problems
- Create analytical reporting tools that match the needs of operational business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- 1-5 years of materials management or purchasing experience required. Recent college graduates will be considered with relevant internship experience.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact at various levels within an organization.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient EXCEL skills and knowledge (Macros, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred

Salary : $69,200 - $87,600
